Wrong Wrong Wrong

and I'm talking about myself.

haven't posted much this season, because frankly, i grew tired of how often disagreements became nasty and personal on this board.

But since I'm going to criticize myself here, it seems appropriate to make a not so triumphant return.

I thought this team was going to be another near century loss effort.  only slightly better than last year.

I saw little to give me any hope about the starting pitching.

Correia....wrong.  decent pitcher

Morton,  wrong i thought he had become hopeless.

Ohlendorf who knows,

Mcdonald about what I thought

Karstens i had nope but little faith. wow

Maholm   he looks like an ace again...didn't see that coming.

the bullpen...i thought this was the team strength's because of Meek and Hanrahan.   the rest of those guys...way better than I gave them credit for.

all the AAA guys and journeymen who have stepped up. who could have figured on that?   When your two starting catchers go down and you find some guy to step in and handle pitchers well and even hit a bit.  That's more than I thought this mgt team capable of.

Speaking of mgt, :Hurdle....nothing more than an ok mgr in my boo, but wrong again so far.  He has totally turned the attitude around.

i loved that he came out and argued the DP call at first last night.  Don't let those umps get away with anything. (unlike our previous mgr who refused to leave the dugout even when he was fired)  Keeping this team on the upswing in the middle of all these injuries....well, that's just impressive

Cutch is an all star no surprise.

Overbay, i thought we'd get more out of him.

Walker....right on target

same for Jones

Alvarez and Tabata....we can hope they recover and produce like they can and we may actually have meaningful games in Sept in Pburg.
