Ludwick is batting .241 on the season and .170 in the past 30 days. Hitting .225 at Petco and is hitting .272 vs lefties and .232 against righties. Has a .992 FPCT in RF.
Willingham is batting .244 on the season and .303 in the past 30 days. Hitting .238 at The Coliseum and is hitting .221 vs lefties and .250 against righties. Has a .971 FPCT in RF(ONLY 35 games in career).
Do you take a flyer on Ludwick to return to his days with St. Louis but remember he was hitting in front of Pujols or do we go with Willingham where he could be a defensive liability? I can not see giving up much for either rental and see the Pirates not resigning either for 2012.
So could there possibly be a trade involving a outfield or 1B prospect? I see no organization giving up a AAA prospect for what we could be reasonably putting on the block. Realistically, just not much to pick from this year in the trade market as well as 2012 free agency list.
