The Reds are now looking at Pence. Pence will obviously cost a lot. They are asking for three legit prospects/mlb-ready players, according to reports. The obvious benefit of signing a Pence is that you get him for this year and couple years after. The hidden benefit is that you block divisional teams (that are in a pennant race) from picking him up. So do you think giving up a Tabata/Sanchez/Allie-type package for Pence is worth gaining the 2.5 years of control AND blocking the Reds?
