I got this news off Rotoworld.com....please tell me its not true....Why in the world would the Pirates want Giambi when they already have 2 of him already in Overbay and Diaz? According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the Phillies are interested in Jason Giambi.
A deal could go down in August. Giambi, 40, is batting .263/.360/.632 with 10 homers and 23 RBI over 111 plate appearances this season. Three of those homers came in one game against Philadelphia on May 19. He could be a useful lefty bat off the bench and serve as a potential DH should the Phillies reach the World Series. The veteran slugger has also drawn interest from the Pirates and at least one American League team
