All-Star first baseman Prince Fielder confirmed Wednesday what Milwaukee Brewers fans have feared -- that this season is "probably the last year" with the Brewers.

The Brewers need some media coaching. Prince gives that quote, Nyjer accuses Pujols of being a woman, and then K-Rod comes out with this:

There’s been plenty of save opportunities, and I’ve pitched once in the ninth inning and it wasn’t a save. I’m not happy. That’s the bottom line for me. They told me one thing; they haven’t done it. And I stand by what I said.

Yeah, they don’t want to pay your huge honking bonus, buddy. Were you not paying attention?

They actually negotiated their way out of his vesting option. The only bonuses he had left were $150k for 50 games finished, $150k for 55 games finished, and $200k for 60 games finished. It really just came down to Axford being lights out.

Well, Milwaukee has always been Dickhead Central.

I kinda like it

that somebody actually called out big baby Pujols and all his histrionics. Without the PR, the guy is a drama queen and a jerk who feels massively self-entitled. Screw him.

None of the above

They have Tex, Howard, and Gonzo. Those teams (well 2 of them) likely won’t spend 20 mil per on a DH. Its actually going to be very interesting; two other big market teams are a financial mess (Dodgers, Mets) so his market, and Albert’s, is very limited.

How much to Angels want to persist with Trumbo?
Konerko is playing well for ChiSox this season (and 2010 as well).

Who else has the $$s to throw at them?

Cubs, definitely.

Maybe the Giants, if they have soured on Belt (or if they think he can handle left).

Mariners will try too imo, they’re desperate to improve offense since years.

sooner that Prince, Plush, K-Rod leave Milwaukee

the sooner the swag will be outta MIlwaukee.

That alone will be a 5-10 win improvement for the Buccos next season which could lead us to that elusive .500 mark.
