Adam Dunn?

I was thinking about our hole at first base and why not see what the White Sox want for Adam Dunn? If they do another Swisher type deal for him, why not deal for him? Sure, he's expensive, but if we give up a half decent prospect we might get money kicked in, the contract will be short, and he'll back in the NL where he should bounce back. Any thoughts?

my thoughts on Dunn..

nothing.

but seriously, if anyone thinks that Pedro has a fat azz, wait til they see Dunn back in the NL. he is not the same “athlete” he was just a few years ago. he’s slower than ever.

His numbers have absolutely fallen off a cliff this year

i just check BBref and, man, he is stinkin up the joint this year. he could be a good bounce back guy, or just be a victim of a very quick career drop-off. i’d rather not take my chances with that contract.

Dunn needs to lose weight in the offseason, get in better shape, and show teams he can do much of anything in '12 before about anyone would be interested, IMHO.

I watched a White Sox the other day and he was at first. He missed a throw late in the game and it looked like he could hardly get down there to catch the ball. You’ve got a huge man that keeps getting bigger and in his early 30s it seems to be catching up to him.

Uh...

No way. If the FO is that intent on ruining our immediate future, they should at least do something amusing like trade Andrew McCutchen for a couple bags of balls and some big league chew. Or we could trade him to the Orioles for JR. Then play Clint in center.

I mean, if they gave us at least like $30-35m, it might not be the worst deal ever, but then again that’s not saying much.

Why not Brooks and Dunn?

They hit lefties every bit as well as Adam Dunn with the added benefit of being able to sell out games via an after-game concert.

But this is the NEW country. With more Garth, more Reba. And did I mention, Wynonna?

That’s just awful.
