I wanted see Dan Szymborski’s answer to the second question. Naturally, I’m guilty of wanting McCutchen to hit more than he has and am not too concerned with his Q-rating!

He’s a 5-win player, he’s not yet 25, and the centerfielders having better seasons are all prime years or older. I can see a definition of “major star” that excludes Cutch, but that definition would be extremely exclusive.

I agree

The Bucs have a lot of problems and McCutchen isn’t one of them. There are minor improvements, maybe, but I think its better to focus on the many things he CAN do, as opposed to the few things he hasn’t done so far.
