When Do Hitters Peak?
This is an interesting article from FanGraphs that certainly caught my attention when WhyGavs passed it along on Twitter. The article examines when hitters peak in their K rate, BB rate and ISO. The results are certainly surprising.

That's actually alarming
Suggests that Cutch has already reached his power peak, and that Tabata needs to show power ASAP.
depends on the players mix of skills
BB, HR, SO peak the latest.
Base hits, XBH, SB peak the earliest.
A guy like Josh Harrison, all his value is in singles and doubles, has probably already peaked. Pedro Alvarez might still have time to improve.

a caution
That’s ISO (slugging minus average), which may be a combination of a few skills — it includes doubles, triples, and HRs. I’d like to see the data broken down further.
Not actually affiliated with whygavs.

When They leave the Bucs?
I thought the answer to this question is obvious..when a hitter leaves the Pirates, he starts hitting! Ex. Bautista
