I always ask for 15 minutes or so. We always get at least a half hour.

Many of them are kind enough to keep shooting the breeze indefinitely – and I think it’s got a lot to do with making them comfortable in the first 3-5 minutes (not to pat myself on the back too hard). The one(s) with DK went on so long we hadda split the episodes into two.

I do try to watch the clock, though, and keep it at a reasonable length so they’ll wanna come back again. Hell, we’ve had NH 3 times already, fer chrissakes – we’ve gotta be doing something right.
