P.J. Forbes, who had been the Altoona Curve's manager, is leaving the Pirates, Cory Giger reports. The Pirates evidently offered Forbes another position within the organization that he would have considered a demotion, so he quit. Forbes says he's "disappointed" but that he has "nothing bad to say about the organization." Later in the piece, Giger quotes Kyle Stark saying, "He had nothing but good things to say about the organization," which is weird, but that could just be a coincidence. In any case, it's hard to read too much into stuff like this, since minor-league managers leave nearly every year.
