A few weeks ago Neil Walker said the Pirates needed experience presence in the team. I know it´s a long shot he will sign with the Pirates, but I think Torii Hunter might be that player. He can hit 5th behind Jones/Alvarez or ahead of either. He is 37 but still with enough defense to handle the RF at PNC Park. Then have a platoon at left of Tabata/Snyder and sent Marte to AAA for more seasoning.
If other teams are offering Hunter a two year 20M contract, maybe the Pirates will tempt him with a 24M offer. Thoughts?
