Trade #1:
LAA Recieves: Joel Hanrahan
PIT Recieves: Kenry Morales and Andrew Romine
LAA needs a Closer and has been linked with Hanrahan this offseason, to top that off they have been rumored to be moving Morales since last June, Romine is the uncertainty here but with Jimenez and Cowart in the minors he should be availble.
Trade #2:
ARI: Andrew Romine, Jose Tabata or Travis Snider and Zach Von Rosenburg
PIT: Justin Upton
This gives ARI gives Romine a young INF that they wanted in return for Upton they also get a cheap young OF to replace him as well as ZVR a solid young SP prospect, this might be enough for ARI to give up Upton.
Trade #3:
NYM: Garrett Jones, Victor Black and Brock Holt
PIT: RA Dickey
This should be more than enough for a 38 year old pitcher possible CY Young winner or not, NYM needs OF and their GM recently said they need two, well here you go a new RF one of whom is coming off of a good season in Jones who should hit well in NY when you through in Holt who could start at 2B for them and a young pitching spec in Black it might even be too much to give for RA.
Trade #4:
TOR: Jeff Locke and Willy Garcia
PIT: JP Arencibia
Tor is looking to move a Catcher and JP has been rumored to be on the block, he would be a good pick up for the Pirates and a young MLB ready SP and good young OF spec should be enough to open up there Catcher spot for their young AAA Catcher.
Trade #5:
CIN: Clay Holmes and Brandon Cumptom
PIT: Zach Cozart
Not sure if CIN will trade him in division or what they would want for him but for two young well regarded SP specs should be enough to get him shipped up the river.
If these deals could get done here is what our team could look like without any FA signings.
Lineup:
1. Marte LF
2. Walker 2B
3. McCutchen CF
4. Upton RF
5. Alvarez 3B
6. Morales 1B
7. Arencibia C
8. Cozart SS
9. SP
Bench:
Tabata/Snider OF
Clint Barmes SS
Sanchez 1B
Harrison IF
Presley OF
McKenry C
Rotation:
1. Dickey
2. Burnett
3. Rodriguez
4. McDonald
5. McPhearson
Bullpen:
RP Watson
RP Resop
RP Wilson
RP Morris
RP Hughes
CL Grilli
This is far from a perfect team as it lacks an experienced Closer or bullpen but the lineup is improved and the defense should remain intact, the trades may not be perfect but they should be reasonable enough.
