Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE
Jason Grilli reportedly has agreed to re-sign with the Pirates. As of yet, there is no denial from Grilli.
Two years. Who knows, maybe it's real this time.
Oh, and Grilli's agent is Gary Sheffield.
UPDATE by Charlie: Grilli gets two years and $6.75 million, which is a terrific price in this market. He evidently turned down more money from the Blue Jays. Any multi-year contract for a 36-year-old reliever worries me a little, but this looks like a very good deal for the Pirates. I assume the Bucs will shop Joel Hanrahan pretty aggressively now, although whether they actually trade him is a different question.
