I am new to this community and apologize in advance if this post is inappropriate for it....On the MLB network tonight, they were showing highlights of the 1970 season and - of course - a fair amount of attention was given to the Pete Rose/Ray Fosse incident that finished the All-Star Game on July 14, 1970.
Anyhow, there was an extremely quick clip of the play taken from the third-base side that shows the National League dugout in the background. There is a somewhat blurry glimpse of a Pirates player - presumably Clemente - coming toward the field.
I noticed that the Pirate was wearing a home uniform since the game was played in Cincinnati (National League park) AND that the uniform was still that worn in Forbes Field (pre-Three Rivers Stadium unis) - which I believe debuted two days later when Three Rivers opened on July 16, 1970.
It appeared to me very ironic to realize that the last time a Pirates home uniform from Forbes Field was worn in a game actually took place in Cincinnati...a piece of very obscure Pirates trivia for the ultimate fanatics!!!
