Well, if I'm Huntington reading this, I am praying that Russell Martin has a fantabulous April and May. Seriously though, if he has this little confidence in their talent evaluation skills, why in heaven's name does he continue to allow them to spend large sums of money on deteriorating talent hoping to resurrect their careers at the franchise's expense? Did anybody read what Martin said? Nothing about helping the Pirates contend. It was all about using these two years to salt away $17 million and try again in a couple of seasons. It stinks of Jeromy Burnitz thanking Dave Littlefield. What a disgrace. Enough already:
