jeff karstens is open to returning to the pirates. no amount has been mentioned by either the pirates or karstens agent. jeff feels he is in good shape and no nagging injuries are hampering him. there were some talks before he was nontendered, no satisfactory deals could be reached. jeff said he is optimistic a deal can be reached with the bucs. he has sentimental ties to pittsburgh and would like to return. given the state of free agent starting pitchers, i think he is a steal. there is a podcast at the bottom, you can hear it for yourself.
