This just in, via MLB Trade Rumors: The Pirates have agreed to sign free agent left-hander Francisco Liriano to a two-year, $14MM contract, La Velle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports. The deal will be finalized once the Legacy Sports Group client passes a physical. Given Liriano's history, that should be a very thorough physical. Seems like an awful lot of money for someone who has to be considered a real gamble. Other's thoughts?
