Brandon McCarthy: "Three Worst Things About Spring Training"

I stumbled on this this morning...Brandon McCarthy taking over "Hot Clicks" for a day.

I figured I would keep reading when he referred to himself as "some gangly white guy who plays baseball for a small market team".

Wow

That was refreshing, he’s an extremely good writer. I was impressed. Humble, self-deprecating, and willing to show off his wife? I’m a fan.

The glare of the spotlight is harsh, and the pressure that success breeds immense. We revere our heroes, but expect much. And criticism can come as easily as praise.
