Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

PIRATE NATION, as much as I would love for the Yanks to trade Burnette to us I don't think it will happen.

It's no secret that NY wants to add a lefty with some some pop to be their DH. I love what NH has done to improve the roster mainly in the minors where some believe we have a top 10 minor league farm system.

The Yanks want G.I. Jones.................let them have him. Jones will not be a starter in the OF and more than likely McGee will play 1st base. Burnett has lost some speed on his FB and he is not hitting 95-96 anymore but he can still pitch. It's a big diffrence playing in the National league where he can have a rebirth.

Jones does not have a future with the Bucs and Burnette could come in and be the ace of our rotation. The team has done very little to improve the offense and we will once again to rely on our pitching........we will see. I hope he gets here.

Should the Pirates keep Neal Huntington?

Psst...

…he meant McGeHee, too.

But his misspelled “privilege” in the other thread, so I stuck up for ya.

That said, getting the players’ names correct is kind of a good thing in general.

Not if he's playing 1B!

The glare of the spotlight is harsh, and the pressure that success breeds immense. We revere our heroes, but expect much. And criticism can come as easily as praise.

why not?

he is already our 6th best 1st baseman. with some work, he could be our 4th in no time.
1B is the easiest postition, ya know.

Total waste of arm strength

Move Pedro to 1B, move him to 3B. Win-win.

make him catcher

has some idea of pitching, strong arm, less effect of handedness and his bat will play better there…

You know how I am

I’m a rebel without a cause. I was going to say shortstop, but I feel like that would just unleash all anarchy on my world. I’m not ready for that yet.

Please don't refer to anything at "Pirate Nation"

It cheapens that title for the few, elite sports franchises that truly have a massive, nation-wide following: Steelers, Yankees, Red Sox, etc. I love the Pirates, but they are not remotely close to that status and suggesting to the contrary makes one look like a douchebag.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated coorperation.

Good day.

Andorra, San Marino, Monaco, Nauru...

A nation does not have to be large. It merely needs to be fiercely independent. And if still being a Pirates fan after all these years doesn’t qualify as FIERCELY independent I don’t know what does.

Vive Pirate Nation!

Peace

actually, phipside was correct

pirate and nation are spelled correctly in spanish. nationale is national. you could also say Nacion which helps you pronounce it correctly.

maricon’!!!
