Given that spring training is upon us...the roster is about set...and no real noteworthy news...what do you think would be the best projected lineup for Opening Day? I say:

1.) Alex Presley Jose Tabata

2.) Jose Tabata Alex Presley

3.) Andrew McCutchen

4.) Neil Walker (I know he isn't really a cleanup hitter...but until Pedro shows up...what are you going to do?)

5.) Garrett Jones

6.) Pedro Alvarez (he moves up if he starts out hitting)

7.) Clint Barmes (he can hit a little)

8.) Rod Barajas

9.) Pitcher

As a Bonus I'm gonna say the starting rotation should be in this order

1.) A.J. Burnett

2.) Charlie Morton (if healthy)*

3.) Erik Bedard (being the only left I'd be tempting to put him at no.2...but I want to see him earn it a bit)

4.) James McDonald

5.) Steady Jeff Karstens

*if Charlie starts out on the DL, insert Kevin Correia into the 5 spot and move everyone up one

SU: Evan Meek (I still believe in him)

Closer: The Hammer...who else?
