The Pirates sent Starling Marte, Gorkys Hernandez, Kyle McPherson, Justin Wilson and Bryan Morris to the minors Sunday. None were expected to make the team. UPDATE by Charlie: The Bucs will also evidently have Wilson start, and it will be interesting to see how that decision turns out. The front office obviously has a lot more information about this than I do, and I can't object to Neal Huntington's rationale of starting in the minors being better for Wilson's development because he'll get more work that way. But from my perspective, I see Wilson as much more likely to have success in the big leagues as a reliever, given his longstanding control issues and the velocity bump he got last year after moving to the bullpen.
