The Pirates scored four runs in a big third inning capped by a two-run Matt Hague homer as the Pirates beat the Red Sox Wednesday afternoon, 6-5.
Kevin Correia allowed four runs, including a homer by Jarrod Saltalamacchia, and Evan Meek allowed a solo homer by Mauro Gomez in two innings of work. Joel Hanrahan and Juan Cruz (who have both been very good this spring) pitched scoreless innings.
Nate McLouth hit a two-run homer in the seventh for the Bucs.
