Impact of Astros leaving the NL Central

Hi, thanks Mr. Wilmoth and others for making this a really fun blog to read. I am excited for the Pirates this year. They've improved themselves by adding Burnett and Bedard and other elite players have left the NL central division. What I want to know is, will these positives get wiped out once the sorry Astros leave the division. For your analysis, here are the Pirates 2011 records vs. NL central opponents:

vs cardinals 7-9

vs brewers 3-12

vs reds 10-5

vs cubs 8-8

vs astros 11-7

It's really positive that Pittsburgh played the Reds so well. We can be pretty happy with these results, except for the season series against the Brewers of course. I'm just not so sure that the Pirates will do well with 3 extra games against the brewers, cards and reds in 2013. What do you think? Hopefully they can bring up one of those pitching prospects in 2013 and grab a couple more wins from division opponents.
