I watched this kid pitch against the Rockies on Tuesday (yesterday) and the kid is absolutely filthy getting the starting nod and going 5 no-hit innings while also even going 2 FOR 2 with a freaking TRIPLE at the plate! He's 90-93 with the fastball, changeup, and a hook and is just dominating spring training with like a 0.57 ERA right now. Just based off of his stuff and what I saw, I think he would be such a great complement to the multitude of young righty pitching the Pirates already have in the system with Morton, JMac, Cole, Taillon, Heredia, Kingham, McPherson. Imagine possibly having FOUR different lefty options to choose from to round out a young starting rotation in the next few years with Owens, Locke, potentially Justin Wilson, and to potentially this Corbin kid.
He was drafted in 2009 in the 2nd round by the Angels and went to the Dbacks in the Dan Haren trade. By the looks of all the young starting pitching they ALREADY have on the big club and in front of him on the depth chart (Kennedy, Hudson, Cahill, Collmenter, Miley, Bauer, Skaggs) , he could definitely be expendable via a trade. Here is his page on MLB.com....he is rated as the Dbacks #8 overall prospect according to MLB.com and Jonathan Mayo (link below for the Dbacks prospect listing)

Here's his description from MLB.com
"He might be known as the other lefty in the Dan Haren trade, behind Tyler Skaggs, but that doesn’t mean Corbin won’t be a big league starter in the near future. His pure stuff may not grade out as well as Skaggs’, but it’s plenty good enough with a fastball in the low 90s, a very good changeup and a slider to give him three future above-average offerings. He’s a strike-thrower who keeps the ball down in the zone and generates groundouts. A part of the Double-A Mobile rotation that won a title in 2011, he should knock on the door sometime soon."
