I posted several months ago about my experiences with the Pirate teams of the mid-late '60s. Well, the player who by far was the nicest guy I dealt with during those years was Jerry Lynch who recently passed away. He retired after the 1966 season, but he's still 3rd all time in pinch hit HRs with 18 and 10th all time in pinch hits.
RIP Jerry, and thank you for your kindness to a college kid!
