After hitting .388/.444/1.013 with 13 homers in 20 Class AAA games so far this season, 31-year-old former Pirate Brad Eldred is returning to the majors to play for the Detroit Tigers. Since leaving the Pirates organization, he's played for Charlotte, Syracuse, Colorado Springs, Fresno and now Toledo, all at the Class AAA level. (He also snuck in 24 big-league at bats with the Rockies.) Way to stick with it, Mr. Eldred.
