Trying to follow up on my extremely popular "Pedro Alvarez In-Depth Swing Analysis" article that catapulted my blog from a new start-up to a rather popular one with close to 1,000 views will be pretty much impossible. I am glad everyone enjoyed reading it by the looks of positive comments because it took me a good bit of time! It being chosen as "SB Nation Pittsburgh Editors Pick" the day it came out was a great accomplishment for me!

But my blog will have to go on.....so to attempt to maybe follow up from the success of the "Pedro Alvarez In-Depth Swing Analysis" article, I have decided to ring in the 2012 baseball season with what I like to call the "2012 Captain Insano Baseball Names Bracket".

Here is the deal: I have compiled names of 68 current MLB players (no Minor Leaguers unfortunately or it would be a whole different ballgame....nice placement of a baseball pun isn't it?) and with the same idea as the NCAA Basketball brackets, players will be voted into the next round according to the most numbers of votes by a certain day. The last man standing will be the 1st ever Captain Insano Best Baseball Name Champion!
