So we're striking out at record levels, but upon my review of Team Stats I noticed we're 19th in ISO, with a couple AL teams just above us. I'm assuming the DH doesn't get factored out so in reality we're doing kinda decent in Isolated Power.
What that tells me is maybe this is by design. Swing away, go for the XBH, if you K so what.... there was an 75% you were going to get out anyway.
With runs being so hard to come by league wide, maybe the thought is that a HR will possibly win the game. Trade K's for power.
Some people say this is a bad year we're having. I say with the talent on our team, this is as good or even better than I expected.
