Its going to take more than Andrew McCutchen to stay in first. My first suggestion is get rid of Clint Barmes at their first opportunitiy. There are a host of guys from Indy that could bat better and field better than his 175 avg and lousy defense. Whats wrong with bringing Derek Lee back? We keep giving Pedro Alverez a chance to make it a third, but he just simply doesnt seem to be able play major league baseball, I would say if he is not batting north of 200 by the all star break than its time for Pedro to head back to Indy. I would also play Garrett Jones every day, the guy hits with power plays good defense and IS major league caliber. Tabata still has promise but would not hesitate to trade him for a more consistent player. Presley should be solid fixture in left if he given a consistent chance. With the rest of the roster, I am sure Hurdle is trying to find a couple of guys to break out of the pack. I think McGee will emerge as a hitter sometime this year and Barajas looks like he is coming around. As for the pitching.....dont touch it, dont trade away anyone and as the saying goes if it aint broke sure dont fix it.
