Pirates Targeting Padres 3B Chase Headley?
According to John Perrotto they are, and Neal Huntington has been engaging Padres GM Josh Brynes in trade talks the last few days. Perrotto also mentions the Pirates' interest in the Cubs' Bryan LaHair and the Red Sox' Kevin Youkilis, with the latter being much less likely to actually be acquired. If true this speaks loudly to Pedro Alvarez's future in the lineup. UPDATE: Red Sox GM says Youkilis will not be traded.
