Andrew McCutchen homered and doubled, Pedro Alvarez went 2-for-3 with a walk, Clint Barmes and Josh Harrison each had three hits, and Kevin Correia pitched 5.1 strong innings as the Pirates blew out the Twins, 7-2.

The Pirates took a 1-0 lead in the first on a strange homer by Harrison -- the ball actually bounced off the front of the wall in left, but it bounced off Josh Willingham as Willingham was trying to field it and went over the wall.

The Pirates got another run on Casey McGehee's sacrifice fly in the fifth, then got two more in the sixth on an RBI double by Barmes and a grounder by Matt Hague.

The Twins got two in the seventh when Denard Span hit a two-run shot off Juan Cruz, but the Pirates scored three more in the bottom of the inning on McCutchen's two-run blast and on a sacrifice fly by Rod Barajas. Chris Resop pitched two scoreless innings to finish the Twins off.

Correia picked up the win after 5.1 shutout innings. He struck out two and walked one.
