What stats and tendancies actually matter?

I enjoy looking at the sortable player statistics that are presented on the Pirate Official Web Site. Here is one that I found to be very interesting. (As some of you know by now I am a huge James Harrison fan.)

I sorted the stats by day vs. night games. Amazingly it was revealed that for NIGHT GAMES Harrison has the team's second highest BA, 2nd highest OBP, second highest SLG, and second highest OPS!

The difference in the splits between day and night games is tremendous. For day games he is 15th to 17th on the team in these categories. This is a huge difference. Does this indicate anything? Should we be playing every NIGHT (say at SS), and sit him for day games?

He is an offensive machine during night games. Worth a trial?

I have noticed that statistics are used a lot on this site and I just wonder what you folks think.
