The schedule in June and July - the two months leading up to the trade deadline - looks very favorable for the Pirates. KC 24-31 @Bal 32-25 @Cle 30-26 Min 22-34 Det 26-31 @Phi 28-31 @STL 30-28 Hou 24-33 SFG 33-25 @Mil 26-31 @Col 24-32 Mia 31-26 CHC 19-38 @Hou 24-33 @CHC 19-38 If you add up the records of those teams, it comes to 392 wins and 462 losses, or 392-462. That's just a .459 winning percentage, which is like facing a bunch of 74-88 teams. The AL Central is pretty soft this season. The one team we face from the AL East is Baltimore, who has done well this season, but is likely overperforming. It's time to create some positive separation between us and the dreaded .500 mark - or better yet, time to fight for first place in our division.
