Hayden Hurst, a big high school pitcher from Florida, says on Twitter (via John Dreker) that he has signed with the Bucs. Baseball America ranked him the No. 406 prospect in the draft. My guess is that his bonus will at least approach the $100,000 quasi-limit on picks after the 10th round, if it doesn't exceed it. If his bonus is over $100,000, then my ears will perk up a bit, because the overage would come out of the money the Pirates have available to sign Mark Appel.
Hurst had a commitment to Florida State, although he apparently had recently decided to go to junior college instead in order to keep his options open. Here's some video. He'll start in the GCL.
