This strikes me as ... kind of crazy, but maybe I've just got been living in baseball's low-rent district for too long. Zack Greinke and Cole Hamels are both free agents after this season, so acquiring one of them would have to be part of a pure C.C. Sabathia kamikaze run at a pennant, and I'm not sure the Pirates are ready for that, especially since neither Hamels nor Greinke would come cheaply. Side note: It would be really bizarre if a top pitcher like Greinke's first three MLB teams ended up being the Royals, the Brewers and the Pirates. UPDATE: Fanshotted here. Sorry I missed it.
