Overall, folks seem pleased with the game, except for when multiple games are posted on the same day. There have been several complaints about posting for multiple games on the same day "clogging" up the Fan Post board. I am in the customer service business, so I know that for every posted complaint there are many more "unposted" complaints about this. So, I will run a poll to gauge the extent of the complaints. Also, being in the customer service business, I do not consider complaints "rude", but opportunities to improve.
Also, confession time, I do all postings from work during breaks. I am not able to post from home, as it would not be practical for other players or healthy for me or my family.
I have given Bucko's suggestion of posting for the entire series at the same time considerable thought. I will not be willing to do this for two main reasons:
1. Scoring would go from a quick reasonably accurate 1-2 minute drill to a nightmare.
2. Scoring/posting would go from an easy 10 minutes or less post, to a much longer nightmare.
The first reason would take the fun out of the game and the second reason is incompatible with continued employment.
If people desire all posts be on game day, I am fine with that. I would however, prefer to remain the scorekeeper as I feel that spitting the job would lead to unnecessary errors. If daily posts are preferred, the way I see this working is that I would announce ahead of time when I would not be available to post. Someone else would volunteer by posting which days they would be able to post in my absence in the comments section.
I want to make sure that this game is not a burden, but an asset, to the Bucs Dugout community as a whole. I realized that no matter what I do, somebody will not be happy and I can live with that.
Finally, the poll closes at 8 AM on Thursday, August 1st. Expect a follow-up post later Thursday or Friday.
