Neil Huntington going HARD after Kansas City Slugger 1B Billy Butler.

Neil Huntington has pretty much called every team in the majors about any bat that might be on the market. NH has checked on BJ Upton, Chase Headley, Hunter Pence, Justin Upton and so on. It's clear that he is trying to get the best bat while still hanging onto our few premier prospects.

Gerrit Cole, Jameson Taillon and Luis Heredia are not going anywhere and I doubt if Starlin Marte get's traded because I think he is the team's future LF giving that Tabata and Pressley have pretty much played there way out of contention. The rumors about us and Arizona for Justin Upton makes no sense to me, I don't think he has all the value that the Diamondbacks think he has and they will end up keeping him because no one will give what they want in return.

Huntington knows that if he wants talent he has to give up talent and he "might" have to trade a Marte or a Hanson to get a bat.

Back to Butler, Huntington is trying to convince the Royals to take AAA LHP Justin Wilson who has a 7-4 record with a ERA of 4.25 but is a power pitcher whose FB has touched 99mph. Kansas City is looking for a closer and I think the we should keep Justin Wilson because I don't see him as a starter when he comes to the majors and could be groomed for our closer BECAUSE I would trade the hammer Joel Hanrahan. I know there will be quite a few Pirate fans that will think I am crazy but Joel is no longer touching 97-99 but is still throwing heat 95-96. Hanrahan is not locating his fastball like he was last year and his walks are up this year. I am not sure when he hits free agency but he will get about 12 million a year from some team and don't think NH will pay him that much. His value will not be any higher than it is right NOW and Butler is hitting.294 with 18 HR and 56 rbi.

I think it's win win for both sides. We keep all of our premier prospects and so do they. The Pirates could slide Grilli into the closers role for this year and groom Justin Wilson.

1. Starlin Marte LF

2. Neil Walker 2B

3. Andrew McCutchen CF

4. Garrett Jones RF

5. Billy Butler 1B

6. Pedro Alvarez 3B

7. Rod Barajas C

8. Clint Barmes SS or make another trade for a SS like Lowry from Houston.

We could win the division with this line up.
