Good teams go through bad periods of play. It's only a matter of time until they start winning again. Lets look at some of the positives so far this month:
- Clint Barmes is hitting .325 with an .841 OPS
- Garrett Jones is hitting .383 with a 1.157 OPS
- Michael McKenry is hitting .310 with a .946 OPS
- McCutchen is still hitting a respectable .278 with an .838 OPS. Also has 10bb/10k
- Travis Snider is hitting .342 with an .862 OPS
- AJ Burnett had a 3.77 ERA before last night
- Eric Bedard has a 2.25 ERA in 2 starts
- Jeff Kartsens has a 4.00 ERA in 3 starts
- James McDonald has 2bb/11k in his last 10.1 innings. Sign of improvement?
Just remember. The Pirates are still 17-16 since the All-Star break. They are still 12 games over .500. They still have a 1 game lead for the second Wild Card. Just weather the storm.
