The beanball throwing Cincinnati Reds are currently playing the incredibly vain Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers even won last night, thus helping the Pirates in their quest to win the Division.
It is obvious that situations like this produce a serious case of cognitive dissonance. While cognitive dissonance can make a person feel uncomfortable, one way of managing this problem requires the afflicted person to accept the situation for what it is. Acceptance means rooting for the Brewers.
