Jeff Locke will be promoted to the Pirates, Kristy Robinson reports. It's not immediately clear why, but I imagine it's a short-term measure to shore up the bullpen, with the Pirates currently having six starting pitchers on their roster due to Kevin Correia's spot start. The 'pen could probably use an extra arm right now, especially after the late-inning blowup Tuesday night. UPDATE: The Pirates have promoted Locke and demoted Alex Presley. I imagine Presley will be back before long.
