Nothing to see here, folks, move along. The Pirates got eight hits, seven of them singles, and failed to do much at all against the Mets, resulting in yet another loss. The game was scoreless until the fourth, when Ike Davis smacked a 400-foot opposite-field two-run homer. Then the Bucs yanked Kyle McPherson with one out and two men on in the fifth. Hisanori Takahashi faced notched an out on the only batter he faced, but then Jeff Karstens came in and gave up a single to David Wright, then threw a changeup straight down the middle to Davis, who crushed it for yet another homer, this time a three-run bomb.
There wasn't much reason to pay attention after that. I did, but that's probably something I need to discuss with a psychiatrist.
Pay no mind to any of this! Remember when I told you I might not be able to do a recap tonight? Well, that's because of some big design changes that are set to occur very soon. After the jump, you can get a sense of what Bucs Dugout will soon look like.
This is one possible template for the top of the page. There are several other templates, like this one.
Then there will be a bunch of stuff that happens after the display on the top of the page. We'll still have fanposts and fanshots, of course. Also, the load times of the new designs are supposed to be faster.
UPDATE: And here's a clue what the mobile site will look like.
