There's still minor league baseball! Two games on Tuesday:
-P- State College edged past Mahoning Valley in 11 innings, 5-4. Tyler Glasnow made his first start for the Spikes, allowing two unearned runs in four innings. He gave up four hits and a walk, and fanned four. As noted in the Pirates' game thread, he was throwing 92-94, touching 96. Dalton Friend followed, allowing two runs, one earned, in five innings. Starling Marte made his first rehab appearance and went 0-5 with three strikeouts. D.J. Crumlich went 2-4 with a walk. Samuel Gonzalez delivered a one-out, walk-off single as a pinch-hitter for Marte. Dilson Herrera had a rough day at secondbase, committing three errors.
-P- The DSL Pirates1 moved to within one game of their league title, winning game three of their series with the Angels, 8-2. Oderman Rocha, who went six innings, and Luylli Miranda combined to strike out 14 while allowing five hits and a walk. Maximo Rivera went 3-4 with a double and Daniel Arribas, Ulises Montilla, Tomas Morales and Henrry Rosario each had two hits.
