After finishing with the best record in the International League, Indianapolis failed to get out of the first round of the playoffs, losing in four games to Charlotte. As they did in their other two losses, the Indians quickly found themselves in a hole. Starter Kris Johnson lasted only an inning, giving up three runs. Bryan Morris, who's probably pitching himself further and further down the depth chart, recorded only one out in the second, allowing two more runs. Indy trailed 6-1 in the 9th, but rallied for three runs and had the bases loaded with one out. Unfortunately, Miguel Perez lined out and Chase d'Arnaud whiffed to end the rally and hand Charlotte a 6-4 win. Yamaico Navarro and Hector Luna went deep for Indianapolis.
