Denny Medley-US PRESSWIRE

Gerrit Cole, Jameson Taillon, Alen Hanson and Gregory Polanco have landed in MLB.com's list of the top 100 prospects.

Cole ranks No. 9, and there are four right-handed pitchers (Dylan Bundy, Taijuan Walker, Jose Fernandez and Zack Wheeler) ahead of him on the list, as expected. Taillon is No. 15. Hanson is at No. 54, and Polanco is at No. 65. Luis Heredia did not make the list. You could certainly make a case for him deserving to be there, but who you place in the bottom 20 spots depends more on preference than anything else.

Other notables: Jurickson Profar is No.1. Wil Myers lands at No. 4. The ultra-pesky Billy Hamilton is No. 11. Miguel Sano is at No. 12. Anthony Rendon is No. 28. WVU product Jedd Gyorko is No. 50. David Dahl, who the Pirates nearly took last year instead of Mark Appel, is No. 58. Lucas Giolito is No. 74.
