No jail time for Anna

The Associated Press reported that

A judge ordered Anna Benson to serve 15 years of probation and complete inpatient psychiatric treatment and follow-up care.

She went before the judge because she carried weapons and wore a bulletproof vest when she went to Kris' home to extort $30,000 from him.

At least Anna had enough good sense to plead guilty to the charges given to her. That may have been the deciding factor for the judge when he sentenced her. That said, not only must Anna not commit crimes for the next fifteen years, she may also find herself involuntarily committed to a psychiatric hospital. Violent and crazy in someway is a volatile mixture and fifteen years is a long time.
