NL Central a non-factor in the free agent market

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight I wrote about the Rangers. You probably don't care about that. But I also wrote about the differences among divisions in free-agent spending. Every division has signed at least five of MLBTR's top 50 free agents -- except the NL Central, which only has one total, Jhonny Peralta. As I wrote here last night, the Pirates haven't gotten heavily involved in the free agent market, but no one else in the NL Central really has either.

Oh, and also, the Yankees spend a ton of money on free agents. I'm guessing that will surprise you.
