I decided to look at previous years to see how many Non roster invitees of the Pirates made the team and played for them that year.

2012: Brandon Boggs, Daniel Cabrera, Ramon Cabrera, Jeff Clement, Gerrit Cole, Michael Crotta, Juan Cruz, Nick Evans, Jake Fox, Eric Fryer, Robbie Grossman, Anderson Hernandez, Ryota Igarashi, Logan Kensing, Shairon Martis, Jose Morales, Jo-Jo Reyes, Tony Sanchez, Doug Slaten, Tim Wood. Juan Cruz made the team and Clement, Fryer and Slaten all played for the Pirates during the season.

2011: Garrett Atkins, Joe Beimel, Dusty Brown, Brian Burres, Jeff Clement, Chase d'Arnaud, Josh Fields, Brian Friday, Eric Fryer, Sean Gallagher, Andy Marte, Fernando Nieve, Rudy Owens, Tony Sanchez, Justin Thomas, Wyatt Toregas, Cesar Valdez, Donnie Veal, Jose Veras, Justin Wilson, Corey Wimberly, Tyler Yates. Only Veras made the team because Beimel was injured. Beimel, Brown, Burres, d'Arnaud, Fryer, Toregas, and Veras played for the Pirates that year.

2010: Jimmy Barthmaier, Brian Bass, Doug Bernier, Brian Burres, Luke Carlin, DJ Carrasco, Vinnie Chulk, Anthony Claggett, Neal Cotts, Brian Friday, Hector Gimenez, Craig Hansen, Steven Jackson, Jeff Karstens, Erik Kratz, Wilfredo Ledezma, Jean Machi, Bryan Myrow, Jeremy Powell, Tony Sanchez, Jeff Sues, Jack Taschner, Justin Thomas, Jonathan Van Every, Virgil Vasquez, Tyler Yates. Taschner and Carrasco made the opening day roster. Bass, Burres, Carrasco, Jackson, Karstens, Kratz, Ledezma, Taschner and Thomas played for the Pirates in 2010.

So, basically, almost all the 2013 non roster invitees will never play for the Pirates. I just thought it was interesting to see the names from previous years.
