Rob Biertempfel writes that Jeff Karstens has a shoulder injury:

Karstens has sore rt front shoulder, not throwing for couple days. "I want to play it smart." He is able to play catch, soft toss.

This doesn't sound serious for now, but shoulder problems that are initially described as minor sometimes turn out to be bigger problems. I wouldn't worry about this much yet, but it's worth keeping an eye on, especially for a player who has trouble staying healthy.
