The Pirates scored two or more runs in the fifth through seventh innings en route to a 9-3 victory over the Red Sox Wednesday.
Not to focus on pretty much the only negative here, because Jeff Locke and a number of relievers pitched well, and the offense had five doubles and a triple. But the big take-home here, as far as the Pirates' roster is concerned, is that Jonathan Sanchez struggled again, allowing two hits and two walks while only retiring two batters. It would be an enormous shock, at this point, if he made the team.
