DirectTV customers who are now getting blacked out of Pirates Games on Root

I saw the thread on here regarding DirectTV's move to black our Pirates games on Root in certain areas that are in the Pirates MLB market. I am in Columbus, OH and we switched to DirectTV last year as it was our ONLY option to view Pirates games in this area since they are blacked out on MLB Extra Innings. My response from DirectTV was they are doing this to "contain costs" which is ridiculous since Root is owned by DirectTV and I obviously was willing to pay a ton of money to upgrade to get the Pirates. I called the Pirates Office (the # on the website) and they are getting a ton of complaints and are tracking names, addresses and zip codes and hope to affect the situation. Who knows if it will help but if you are in this situation, it couldn't hurt. You can either call them or send your complaint, name and address to talkback@pirates.com.
